“We are improving the quality of health systems so that everyone in Kisumu County can have a chance to secure adequate healthcare”. He said.
Health promotion is very important as a link that creates a bridge between the creator and the user in any health initiative and so we must build bridges in the health sector in order to pass on useful information.

He said being the first Center of excellence in the Country, it will be a model for other counties and we must therefore set and maintain the highest standards adding that the county will provide the necessary infrastructure and is cognizant of the limitations of the current location and will seek ways to ensure it is accessible to all including the special groups.

Also present was CEO for PS Kenya Joyce Wanderi, Dr. Athanasius Ochieng from the National Health Promotion Unit and County Assembly Committee Chair on Health, Housing and Sanitation Hon. Vincent Jagongo.

The Centre of Excellence located on the Sixth (6th) Floor of Prosperity House is a collaborative project between the County Government of Kisumu and the USAID who funded Health Communication & Marketing (HCM) project.
